Cyprus Popular Bank Public Co Ltd (the “Bank”) denies the claims made in the article titled “Write-off of mammoth loans to bankers” published in today's newspaper “HARAVGI”.

The Bank wishes to take this opportunity to remind investors of the existing Central Bank of Cyprus guidelines, according to which prior approval of the Central Bank of Cyprus is required for write-off of amounts greater than €50.000.
