Euronext Athens ESG Initiatives
The ATHEX ESG Data Portal is a service that caters to both companies and investors. Companies, listed or not, can showcase their ESG initiatives and the extent of their alignment with the indicators of our ESG Reporting Guide. Investors can benefit from the standardized and comparable information regarding ESG data for most companies.
The ESG Reporting Guide is an Euronext's Athens initiative, designed to bolster businesses within the realm of sustainability. This guide encompasses best practices for ESG disclosure and explains how companies can effectively communicate this information drawing upon international sustainability guidelines. Latest edition of the Guide has taken into account the requirements of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
ATHEX BONDS GREENet platform is a centralized display of Green Bonds, Social Bonds, Sustainable Bonds and Sustainability-Linked Bonds, which are listed on Euronext Athens markets and follow internationally recognized principles/standards (ICMA, CBI Certification).
The ATHEX ESG Index monitors the stock performance of listed companies that disclose their ESG performance using our ESG Reporting Guide. Through this index, Euronext Athens recognizes and promotes companies' commitment to ESG principles.
In 2018, the Euronext Athens became an active member of the United Nations initiative, Sustainable Stock Exchanges. Since then, it has been committed to promoting sustainable practices and enhancing market transparency by adopting strategies that support responsible investment and sustainable development.
At Euronext Athens, CSR is directly related to the concept of sustainable development, has a voluntary type of actions and constitutes a strategic choice.
