Euronext Athens, in the context of its continuous actions to mobilize capital towards sustainable investments, has created the ESG Data Portal as the central ESG database for Greek listed and non-listed companies and for investors who wish to access consolidated and standardized ESG metrics.

Companies can directly upload their data and all relevant publicly available sources and documentation to the portal. The platform captures ESG metrics in alignment with the ESG Reporting Guide, enabling companies to disclose their ESG information and highlight their sustainability initiatives. Additionally, companies can benchmark their performance against their peer group.
investors
For Investors, Analysts and other Stakeholders
Investors and other stakeholders gain access to consolidated, easily comparable information on corporate ESG disclosures. This enables investors to seamlessly incorporate the data into their research, analysis, and screening processes, as well as utilize it for their own ESG reporting.

Wide Coverage
The database is continuously growing as more and more companies submit ESG data. The Portal can be utilized not only by issuers whose securities are listed or admitted to trading in one of Euronext Athens' markets, but also by non-listed companies who wish to demonstrate their ESG credentials.

Data can be updated ad-hoc by the companies themselves each time they have new information to share.
reliability
Information Verification
Each data point contributed by companies in the Portal comes with the relevant publicly available source/document (eg. Sustainability Report). Euronext Athens verifies the existence of the information and the adherence to the ESG Reporting Guide recommended methodologies and assumptions.

All Euronext Athens-listed companies can access ESG Data Portal to contribute their data, at no cost. The database is continuously growing as more and more companies submit their publicly available ESG data. The Portal can be utilized not only by issuers whose securities are listed or admitted to trading in one of Euronext Athens' markets, but also by non-listed companies who wish to demonstrate their ESG credentials.

Aside from companies, can investors, analysts and other stakeholders access the platform?

What should companies be disclosing on ESG Data Portal?

Companies contribute their data and all the relevant publicly available sources/documentation directly into the portal. The portal captures ESG data metrics in accordance with the ESG Reporting Guide and allows companies to disclose their ESG information and to showcase their ESG efforts.

ESG Transparency Methodology

The “ESG Transparency Methodology” evaluates a company’s level/percentage (%) of transparency with respect to the ESG metrics outlined in the ESG Reporting Guide. Learn more here.
