Pursuant to Law 3556/2007 and the ATHEX Regulation, General Bank of Greece S.A. (“Geniki Bank”) announces following the notification it received from Société Générale on 30 November 2012, that, on 30 November 2012, Société Générale sold 1,729,725 ordinary registered shares of the bank, corresponding to approximately 9.99% of Geniki Bank's share capital and voting rights, to Piraeus Bank S.A. As a result of such sale, Société Générale's stake and voting rights in Geniki Bank fell to approximately 89.08% from approximately 99.08%.
