Cyprus Popular Bank Public Co Ltd (the “Bank”), further to is announcements dated May 18, June 15 and July 23, 2012, announces that the Minister of Finance has issued the (Amending) (No. 3) Decree for the Underwriting of the Rights Issue of the Cyprus Popular Bank Public Co Ltd, which will be read  with the Decree for the Underwriting of the Rights Issue of the Bank of 2012, as it was amended by the Amending Decrees for the Underwriting of the Rights Issue of the Bank (which herein after will be referred as “the basic decree”).  The basic decree and the current Decree will be referred together as the Decrees for the Underwriting of the Rights Issue of the Cyprus Popular Bank Public Co Ltd of 2012.  

The said Amending Decree refers to the new shares the Republic of Cyprus acquires from the Bank in accordance with the terms of the basic decree, the Prospectus dated May 22, 2012 and the Supplementary Prospectus dated June 19, 2012, which constitute a special category of shares and are not listed in a stock exchange or other regulated market unless the Minister of Finance demands it.

The Decree, as published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus of August 14, 2012, is hereby attached for the information of the investors.
