Pursuant to Law 3556/2007 and the ATHEX Regulation, General Bank of Greece S.A. (“GENIKI Bank”) announces following the notification it received from Piraeus Bank S.A on 14 December 2012, that, on 14 December 2012, Piraeus Bank S.A purchased 15,407,984 ordinary registered shares of GENIKI Bank, corresponding to approximately 89.08% of GENIKI Bank's share capital and voting rights. As a result of such purchase, Piraeus Bank S.A stake and voting rights in GENIKI Bank amounts approximately to 99.08% from approximately 9.99%.
