Pursuant to Law 3556/2007 and the ATHEX Regulation, General Bank of Greece S.A. (“Geniki Bank”) announces following the notification it received from societe generale on 14 December 2012, that, on 14 December 2012, societe generale sold 15,407,984 ordinary registered shares of the bank, corresponding to approximately 89.08% of Geniki Bank's share capital and voting rights, to Piraeus Bank S.A. As a result of such sale, societe generale's stake and voting rights in Geniki Bank fell to 0%   from approximately 89.08%.
