Following the conclusion of a relative tender, the implementation of the project "Electronic Urban Planning: Geographical Information Systems for the Country's Prefectural Self Government", worth a total of 11.214.770,26 euro (including VAT), is to be undertaken by an association of companies that includes SingularLogic Integrator SA. The part of the project to be implemented by SingularLogic Integrator amounts to 6.168.123,63 euro (including VAT), whilst the remaining part of the project is to be implemented by Intracom IT Services.
The project involves the development of a Geographical Information System (GIS) with a digital geographical basis and aims to offer members of Urban Planning Services and citizens (private and civil engineers) accurate and timely information concerning Geographical Urban Planning Data as well as information regarding the entire urban planning legislation currently in force, for each Prefecture.
More specifically, the project involves the examination and application on a digital map, of all the related Official Government Gazette (OGG) announcements and studies (using the GIS), the creation of a Territorial data base with local regulations - terms and building limitations, as well as its updating mechanism and the respective search and presentation software and finally the creation of a data base for other thematic units (entities) that are of interest to every Prefectural Self Government.
Through this particular project, SingularLogic Integrator will contribute significantly to the efficient operation of Prefectural Urban Planning Services and to the better servicing of their users via the immediate and analytical provision of information that regards special regulations-terms and building limitations as well as the current provisions concerning street planning.
