Euromedica SA hereby informs its shareholders and investors that it has signed a Memorandum of Association and a preliminary agreement with the SIOVA Diagnostic Laboratory in Grevena (N.W. Greece) for the acquisition of its shares. SIOVA is a private enterprise owned by one medical doctor, which by the end of October 2008 will be converted into a Medical Societe Anonyme, upon acquisition of its shares.
The SIOVA Diagnostic Laboratory is the only Private Diagnostic Imaging Laboratory in the Prefecture of Grevena and it has a CT scanner, ultrasound, bone densitometer and traditional X-ray department.
After acquisition by Euromedica SA the Diagnostic Laboratory will be transferred to larger grounds and new departments will be added (microbiology, MRI, mammography).
The said enterprise is valued at 350,000 euros and the memorandum regards acquisition of all the shares by Euromedica SA and medical doctors.
Through the abovementioned acquisition, EUROMEDICA group increases the total number of medical centres in its network to 47. It currently owns 19 medical centres in Attiki (three of which are due to enter into operation soon), 5 in Thessaloniki in addition to the EUROGENETIKI laboratory, 2 in Crete, 3 in Volos and one in each of the following cities: Larissa, Ptolemaida, Kozani, Serres, Alexandroupoli, Trikala, Corinth, Mytilini, Katerini, Kastoria, Kavala, Corfu, Didymoteiho and Grevena, plus three in Albania.
