The Bank of Cyprus Group (the "Group") sets out the following additional notes to the Financial Information for the three months ended 31 March 2008, which was published on 28 May 2008, as stipulated by decision 6/448/11.10.2007 of the Board of Directors of the Greek Capital Markets Commission.
1. At 31 March 2008 the other provisions of the Group and Bank of Cyprus Public Company Ltd (the "Company") amounted to euro 24.197 thousand and euro 22.950 thousand respectively and are included in the balance sheet in other liabilities.
2. The net profits/(losses) recognised directly in the statement of changes in equity for the three months ended 31 March 2008 are set out below: Table follows.
3. The number of the Company's shares held by its subsidiaries and associates (including the shares held by the Group's life insurance subsidiaries as part of their financial assets which are invested for the benefit of insurance policyholders) at 31 March 2008 was 4.601 thousand and their cost price euro 32.995 thousand.
