Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd announces in accordance to Greek Law 3556/2007, Decision 1/434/3.7.2007, Circular 33 of the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission and the Cyprus Law 190(Ι)/2007, that on 18 March, 2008 the Morgan Stanley Group gave it notice that on 11 March, 2008 companies controlled by the Group purchased 731.910 shares of the Bank at a price euro 5,8561 per share.
According to the Group's notice, following the purchase of the above shares, the total percentage of shares held by the Morgan Stanley Group through its controlled companies was increased from 4,922% to 5,015% (Morgan Stanley & Co International Plc from 3,991% to 4,063% - Morgan Stanley and Co Incorporated New York from 0,931% to 0,952%). It is noted that the Morgan Stanley Group acquired the said shares in a combination of a principal basis and on behalf of its clients.
