Hellenic Sugar Industry S.A. announces the submission of two (2) Offers for the Conversion of its Larissa and Xanthi plants into Bioethanol production units, by Monday 7 April 2008, 17:00 Greek time, by the following Qualified Candidates:

1. MOTOR OIL (HELLAS) CORINTH REFINERIES S.A.
2. CAL WEST ETHANOL & RENEW ENERGY EU LLC

The Company and the Advisors will examine the data and evaluate the Offers according to the Tender Procedure.
