Spectacular increase of the 2007 results for Euromedica Group
Profit after taxes more than tripled
FY 2007 ended with Euromedica Group's profits before tax amounting to 31.48 million euros, compared to 11.21 million euros for FY 2006 (+181%). However, more spectacular was the increase in the after tax profits, which amounted to 21.98 million euros, compared to 6.35 million euros for the previous fiscal year.
The Group's turnover reached 191.86 million euros, from 158.02 million euros, presenting an increase of 21.4%.
Regarding Euromedica S.A., turnover reached 152.64 million euros, compared to 84.30 million euros in 2006 (+81%). The Company's profits before tax reached 24.94 million euros, from 3.36 million euros, while the profits after tax increased to 17.94 million euros from 1.18 million euros.
The significant increase of the figures at Company and Group level are attributed to the improvement of the results of the owned medical units nationwide, to the new medical units that were acquired by the Group within 2007, as well as to the merger, through absorption by the parent company, of the following subsidiaries within 2007: "GENERAL CLINIC OF THESSALONIKI S.A.', "HIGH TECHNOLOGY MEDICAL INSTITUTE OF CRETE S.A." and 'EUROMEDICA WEST MACEDONIA S.A.'.
The Euromedica group currently owns 15 clinics, 4 rehabilitation centres (one of which is temporarily operating as a luxury hospice), a network of 39 diagnostic centres and 5 commercial companies throughout Greece.
