Euromedica S.A. hereby informs its shareholders and investing public that on 11/3/2008, together with 53 doctors specialising in 16 different fields of medicine, it established a new multi-shareholder societe anonyme for the purpose of founding and running a General Clinic in Thessaloniki, with particular emphasis on oncology, both in the fields of diagnosis and treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy). The Clinic shall include all clinical and laboratory specialisations related to oncology cases, and shall have a bed capacity of 150. Its aim is to constitute the first private clinic specialising in this field in Greece, and to be rendered a centre of reference for oncology in the Balkans. The new company's initial share capital amounts to ?1,100,000. Euromedica S.A. holds a 50% interest in the share capital of the new company, whereas the remaining 50% belongs to 53 doctors with varying percentages of interest. In its new facility, Euromedica S.A. shall continue to apply its partnership model with the medical world, which has already led to the successful operation of the GENESIS gynaecological clinic in Thessaloniki, and the EUROMEDICA General Clinic of the Dodecanese on Rhodes. The same partnership model with doctors is being considered for the completion and operation of the IONIAN GENERAL CLINIC on Corfu, which was recently acquired by Euromedica S.A.
