Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd (the “Bank”) announces that its shareholder, Marfin Investment Group S.A., has withdrawn its request for the convention of an Extraordinary General Meeting for the dismissal of the Members of the Board of Directors and the appointment of new Members.

The Board of Directors has agreed to the withdrawal of the request, which the Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on the 08/02/2012 will be asked to ratify, and expresses its satisfaction for the maintenance of the good climate of cooperation between the shareholders and the Management of the Bank.
