The following is NIREUS' comment on an article published in the newspaper Kathimerini on 04.01.2015 under the title “Aquaculture:  the restructuring clings on … NIREUS”:

The company is in the final stage of negotiations in order to achieve the optimal restructuring agreement and cooperates fully with the Lender Banks.  The alleged delays and denial, that are mentioned by the author of the article and his “banking” or “other” sources in a most unfounded and defamatory manner, are actually the careful consideration of all relevant documents and procedures in light of the current legislation. This is an essential and established practice that NIREUS follows, as the industry leader and one of the largest export companies in the food sector.

Therefore, the restructuring of NIREUS is in progress and the entire management team works tirelessly for its earliest and best possible implementation within the law. We believe that the basic agreement will be finalized within the next few days after the necessary approvals from the relevant levels of the Banks.

Moreover, the other companies in the industry follow their course through the various procedures which are selected.
