Following a relevant announcement dated February 29, 2012 and because of articles which appeared in the Greek Media which refer to reaching an agreement with a strategic investor for participation in the capital of Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd (the “Bank”), the Bank clarifies that they are not justified.

The Bank reiterates that interest for participation has been shown by a number of credible strategic investors, but currently there is nothing more to be announced.
