ACQUISITION OF 51% OF THE NETWORK OF IKEDA DIAGNOSTIC CENTRES IN ALBANIA

Euromedica S.A. hereby informs its shareholders and investing public that via its subsidiary Euromedica Albania Holdings S.A., it has acquired 51% of the network of diagnostic centres of IKEDA LTD in Albania.
The total price that the company shall pay for the 51% share is (a) 1,250,000 euros (initial payment) plus (b) 280,000 euros (on the condition that specific targets shall have been met) plus (c) 375,000 euros (after 24 months, also on the condition that specific targets shall have been met).
IKEDA was founded in 1999 and started out as the first centre of bronchoscopy in the city of Tirana. With a network of 3 diagnostic centres (Tirana, Sukth and Kavaja), it is currently one of the largest and most well-known networks of diagnostic centres in the country, collaborating with a large number of medical doctors. The diagnostic centres include the following departments: Microbiology Laboratory, Computed Tomography, Cardiology, Urology, Paediatrics, Gastroenterology, Radiology, Lithotripsy, etc.
IKEDA is considering the expansion of its activities into the field of secondary care through the operation of a modern hospital in the Tirana region. Through this acquisition and by extending its network beyond the Greek borders, Euromedica S.A. is for the first time entering the field of primary care in the Balkans.
