Corinth Pipeworks SA presented on Friday May 16, 2008, the group΄s activities, the company's as well as the group's annual financial results and the prospects for the current fiscal year to analysts in the Association Of Greek Institutional Investors.
Corinth Pipeworks SA was represented by Mr. Christoforos Catsambas, General Manager, Mr Mastorakis, Financial Director and Mr. Georgios Rouselis, Investor Relations Officer.
Mr. Catsambas started off the presentation by focusing on Corinth Pipeworks SA core business activity and emphasized on the fact that the Company after successfully completing its reorganization and Its strategic investments, is now one of the largest providers of steel pipes and hollow sections internationally.
During FY 2007, Corinth Pipeworks marked for another year substantial growth rates. This is mainly attributed to the higher prices achieved by the Company as a result of its strategic decision to enter into high value added market segments, the execution of projects with strict technical specifications, as well as the favorable market conditions in the international energy industry as well as to the ongoing improvement of productivity and operating costs.
By taping on to its main competitive edge that is, access to high quality raw materials and operational (production and logistics) cost discipline, the long-term relationships with premium steel makers, the know-how, the state-of-the-art equipment, the flexibility in the production process, the geographical location both in Greece and Russia and the top quality of its human capital, Corinth Pipeworks will continue to operate in an environment, which is more comlex and less predictable but still full of opportunities.
