EUROMEDICA S.A. would like to inform its shareholders and investing public that its subsidiary EUROPROCUREMENT, which is under EUROMEDICA's total control, has formed a new company under the name "IONIA EUROMEDICA MULTI-SPECIALTY DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE IATRIKI S.A." having its registered seat at Aspropyrgos in Attica. EUROPROCUREMENT S.A. holds a 49% share in "IONIA EUROMEDICA MULTI-SPECIALTY DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE IATRIKI S.A.", whereas the remaining 51% is held by various medical doctors in the area.
The object of the new company is to create a diagnostic centre in a leased property in the area of Aspropyrgos, which will possess an MRI scanner, microbiology department, ultrasound department, radiology department, molecular biology department and genetics department.
The total cost of the new investment amounts to 1,000,000 Euros and the new diagnostic centre is expected to start operating within September 2008. Through the establishment of said diagnostic centre, EUROMEDICA group has increased the number of its diagnostic centres nationally to 42. It currently owns 19 diagnostic centres in Attica (three of which are soon to commence operation), 5 in Thessaloniki, including the EUROGENETIKI laboratory, 2 in Crete, 3 in Volos and one in each of the following cities: Larissa, Ptolemaida, Kozani, Serres, Alexandroupoli, Trikala, Corinth, Mytilene, Katerini, Kastoria, Kavala and Corfu.
